Product description
Deodorised organic cocoa butter combines the structuring properties of cocoa butter with an odour-neutral sensory profile. The cream-white, solid plant-based fat is suitable for formulations in which the raw material should not influence the fragrance profile and the perfuming can be designed freely.
Deodorisation removes the characteristic aroma compounds of cocoa butter. This results in an odour-neutral grade that can be integrated flexibly into a range of fragrance and formulation concepts.
In formulation terms, cocoa butter is characterised by its high proportion of stearic, palmitic and oleic acid and its high melting point. As a solid plant-based butter, it is suitable for providing consistency and structure in emulsions and anhydrous formulations. It gives stick products, balms and body butters firmness and stability and develops a smooth melting behaviour on contact with the skin.
The product is suitable for lipsticks and lip care, deodorant sticks, body butters, massage bars, creams and lotions and other cosmetic formulations. For formulations in which the characteristic cocoa scent is desired, unrefined organic cocoa butter is also available.
