AOT PunicActive organic

AOT PunicActive® organic is a lipophilic active based on organic pomegranate seeds with antioxidant activity demonstrated in vitro. In a cell-free DPPH in-vitro test, the product reached 98.02% of the reference activity at a concentration of just 0.1%. At 1% and 10%, activity was approx. 99.4%, on a par with the ascorbic acid reference. The results relate to the in-vitro test system and do not allow direct conclusions about the effect on the skin or in finished cosmetic formulations.

The raw material is obtained from the seeds of organic pomegranates, which arise as a side stream of juice production and are further processed as part of an upcycling concept. AOT PunicActive® organic contains punicic acid in particular, typically at a share of 70 to 90%.

Its liquid form makes AOT PunicActive® organic easy to incorporate into cosmetic formulations. The product is preferably added to the oil phase and is suitable for oil-based formulations and emulsions. It is heat-stable and can be heated to up to 80 °C during processing. The recommended use level is between 1 and 2%.

AOT PunicActive® organic is suitable for facial and body care formulations, emulsions, serums, oils and other cosmetic applications.
