Product description
StoppOx® Toco 70 Soy is a concentrate of mixed tocopherols standardised to 70% for stabilising oils, fats and fat-containing formulations that are prone to oxidation. The product is used as a natural alternative to synthetic antioxidants and is suitable for various cosmetic applications.
The tocopherols are obtained from GMO-free soya bean oil. The reddish-brown, viscous concentrate contains all four forms of tocopherol (alpha-, beta-, gamma- and delta-tocopherol). The mixed tocopherols content is standardised to 70%.
The product is usually added to the oil phase. Depending on the formulation and stability requirements, the use level is typically between 0.05 and 0.5%. It is particularly suitable for formulations containing plant oils prone to oxidation, such as linseed oil, walnut oil or hemp seed oil.
StoppOx® Toco 70 Soy can be used to stabilise facial oils, emulsions, balms and oil-based formulations. The INCI declaration is ‘Tocopherol’.
