Product description
Organic cold-pressed rapeseed oil is a versatile base oil for cosmetic formulations. The bright yellow oil has a characteristic, slightly nutty natural odour and is notable for its balanced fatty acid profile.
The oil is obtained by gentle cold pressing of rapeseed. Because it is not refined, the oil retains its characteristic colour and slightly nutty natural odour.
From a formulation perspective, the fatty acid profile is shaped in particular by oleic acid, complemented by linoleic acid and alpha-linolenic acid (omega-3). This fatty acid profile makes rapeseed oil a versatile building block for cosmetic oil phases, oil blends and emulsions. It combines well with other plant oils and is suitable as a base oil for a range of formulation concepts.
The product is suitable for creams and lotions, body and massage oils, bath oils, soaps and other cosmetic formulations. Rapeseed oil is also available as a refined organic grade.
