Plum Kernel Oil cold-pressed, organic

Organic cold-pressed plum kernel oil is a distinctive plant oil with a light, supple sensory profile. The pale yellow oil is notable in particular for its intense natural marzipan scent, making it suitable for formulations in which the natural odour of the plant oil is to be deliberately incorporated into the fragrance concept.

The plum kernels are a side stream of dried fruit and jam production and are processed into a plant oil by gentle cold pressing. Because it is not refined, the oil retains its characteristic colour and intense marzipan scent.

From a formulation perspective, plum kernel oil is characterised by its high proportion of oleic acid, complemented by linoleic acid and palmitic acid. The oil also contains vitamin E. This profile makes it a versatile building block for cosmetic oil phases, oil blends and emulsions.

The product is suitable for facial and body oils, serums, creams and emulsions and hair care formulations. Its characteristic marzipan scent should be taken into account when developing the fragrance concept.
