Product description
Organic wheat germ extract is a finely milled food concentrate made from wheat germ. The mottled beige powder has a characteristic aroma and taste and is suitable as a functional raw material for developing a wide range of food concepts.
For production, organic wheat germ is fully de-oiled by CO₂ extraction. The resulting wheat germ extract flakes are then finely milled. Production takes place in Germany.
Organic wheat germ extract is characterised by a low fat content and a high content of vitamin B1 (thiamine), vitamin B6 and folic acid. The product also contains high levels of iron, potassium, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus and zinc. Naturally occurring spermidine is also a constituent of the wheat germ extract.
Thanks to its fine milling and characteristic sensory profile, organic wheat germ extract is suitable for a wide range of food recipes and product concepts.
