Cocoa Butter unrefined, organic

Unrefined organic cocoa butter is a solid plant butter that combines structuring properties with a characteristic cocoa scent. It is solid and brittle at room temperature, melts on contact with the skin and develops a smooth sensory profile. The natural cocoa scent with its chocolate note should be taken into account when developing the fragrance concept.

The butter is obtained from the seeds of the cocoa tree and is not deodorised. This preserves the characteristic colour and typical cocoa scent of this grade.

In formulation terms, cocoa butter is characterised by its high content of stearic, palmitic and oleic acid and its high melting point. As a solid plant butter, it is suitable for providing consistency and structure in emulsions and anhydrous formulations and gives balms, body butters and stick products firmness and structural stability.

The product is suitable for lip care, body butters, massage bars, balms, creams and lotions and other cosmetic formulations. For formulations in which the characteristic cocoa scent should have as little influence as possible on the fragrance concept, deodorised organic cocoa butter is also available.
