Walnut Oil cold-pressed, organic

Organic cold-pressed walnut oil is a distinctive plant oil for cosmetic formulations. The rich yellow oil has a characteristic walnut scent and is notable for its high linoleic acid content and its alpha-linolenic acid (omega-3) content.

The oil is obtained by gentle cold pressing of walnut kernels. Because it is not refined, the oil retains its characteristic colour and natural odour.

From a formulation perspective, the fatty acid profile is shaped in particular by linoleic acid, complemented by alpha-linolenic acid (omega-3). This profile makes walnut oil a versatile building block for cosmetic oil phases, oil blends and emulsions. Because of its high proportion of polyunsaturated fatty acids, oxidative stability should be taken into account during storage and formulation development.

The product is suitable for facial and body oils, creams and lotions, hand care and other cosmetic formulations. Its characteristic walnut scent should be taken into account when developing the fragrance concept.
