Sea Buckthorn Pulp Oil organic

Organic sea buckthorn pulp oil is a characteristic speciality oil for cosmetic formulations. The intensely orange oil has a delicate fruity, slightly sweet natural odour and is characterised by its high natural carotenoid content. Because of its intense natural colour, it is typically used as a proportion of a formulation.

The oil is obtained from the pulp of sea buckthorn berries, which is a by-product of organic juice production. After the pulp has been separated from the seeds, the oil is obtained by CO₂ extraction. The composition of sea buckthorn pulp oil differs significantly from that of sea buckthorn seed oil.

In formulation terms, sea buckthorn pulp oil is characterised by high proportions of palmitic acid and palmitoleic acid (omega-7). The fatty acid profile is complemented by oleic acid and linoleic acid as well as natural accompanying substances such as carotenoids, tocopherols and flavonoids. The intense orange natural colour should be taken into account when developing the product and colour concept.

The product is suitable for facial and body oils, serums, balms, creams and emulsions and other cosmetic formulations.
