Poppy Seed Oil cold-pressed, organic

Organic cold-pressed poppy seed oil is a light plant oil for cosmetic formulations and is characterised by its high linoleic acid content. The pale yellowish oil has a delicate, slightly sweet and nutty natural odour and is suitable for care concepts that call for a light sensory profile and a fatty acid profile rich in linoleic acid.

The oil is obtained by gentle cold pressing of fine poppy seeds. Because it is not refined, the oil retains its characteristic pale colour and delicate, nutty natural odour.

From a formulation perspective, poppy seed oil is characterised in particular by its high proportion of linoleic acid, complemented by oleic and palmitic acid. This fatty acid profile makes it an interesting building block for light cosmetic oil phases. The oil can be used neat or as a component of oil blends, serums and emulsions.

The product is suitable for facial and body oils, fluids, serums, creams and lotions and other cosmetic formulations.
