Macadamia Nut Oil cold-pressed, organic

Organic cold-pressed macadamia nut oil is a distinctive plant oil with a high proportion of oleic acid and palmitoleic acid (omega-7). The pale yellow oil has an intense, nutty natural odour, spreads easily and is characterised by a light, supple sensory profile.

The oil is obtained by gentle cold pressing of macadamia nut kernels. Because it is not refined, the oil retains its characteristic pale yellow colour and intense, nutty natural odour.

From a formulation perspective, the fatty acid profile is shaped mainly by oleic acid and palmitoleic acid, complemented by palmitic and linoleic acid. In particular, the high proportion of palmitoleic acid sets macadamia nut oil apart from many classic base oils. The oil can be used neat or as a component of oil blends and emulsions and is suitable for formulations that call for a supple, light sensory profile.

The product is suitable for facial and body oils, creams and emulsions, massage oils and hair care formulations.
