Elderberry Seed Oil cold-pressed, organic

Cold-pressed organic elderberry seed oil is a characteristic speciality oil for cosmetic formulations and is notable for its high content of polyunsaturated fatty acids. The greenish oil has a characteristically spicy natural odour and is suitable for a variety of skin care formulations.

The oil is obtained by gentle cold pressing from elderberry seeds. The seeds are a by-product of juice production and are processed into a cosmetic plant oil as part of an upcycling concept. Virgin processing preserves the characteristic colour and natural odour of the oil.

In formulation terms, elderberry seed oil is characterised in particular by its high content of linoleic acid and alpha-linolenic acid. This fatty acid profile makes it an interesting formulation component for care concepts with a selected lipid composition. The oil can be integrated as a proportion of oil blends and into the oil phase of emulsions.

The product is suitable for facial and body oils, serums, emulsions, balms and other cosmetic formulations. Its natural colour and characteristic natural odour should be taken into account during product development.
