Grapeseed Oil cold-pressed, organic

Organic cold-pressed grapeseed oil is a light plant oil for cosmetic formulations. The greenish oil has a characteristic natural odour reminiscent of grape pomace and is notable in particular for its high linoleic acid content. Its sensory profile is suitable for a range of facial and body care formulations.

The grape seeds are a side stream of winemaking and are processed into a plant oil by gentle cold pressing. Because it is not refined, the oil retains its characteristic greenish colour and pomace-like natural odour.

From a formulation perspective, the fatty acid profile is shaped in particular by linoleic acid, complemented by oleic acid and palmitic acid. Grapeseed oil also contains natural accompanying substances such as polyphenols and tocopherols. The oil can be used as a building block in oil blends and emulsions and combined with other plant oils and plant-based butters.

The product is suitable for facial and body oils, serums, creams and lotions, massage oils and hair care formulations. Its characteristic natural odour should be taken into account when developing the fragrance concept.
