Product description
Organic carnauba wax type 1 is a plant-based wax for cosmetic formulations that call for a high melting point, structure and temperature stability. Type 1 denotes the lightest commercial grade. The wax consists of 100% carnauba wax and is free from off-odours.
Carnauba wax is obtained from the leaf buds and leaves of the Brazilian carnauba palm. The plant-based wax is characterised by its high melting point of over 80 °C and is suitable as a consistency factor in a range of cosmetic applications.
In formulation terms, carnauba wax is used to specifically influence the hardness and stability of wax-oil systems. Even small use levels can give structure to softer formulations and help to raise the melting point. Due to these properties, carnauba wax is used in particular in colour cosmetics.
The product is suitable for lipsticks, contour pencils, mascara, deodorant sticks, solid perfumes, vegan wax blends and other colour cosmetics and care formulations.
