Product description

Olive oil, extra virgin, organic is a virgin plant oil for food applications. The oil is golden yellow to greenish yellow and is characterised by its typical olive aroma and distinctive sensory profile.

The oil is obtained from olives and meets the “extra virgin” quality grade. Gentle processing preserves the typical sensory properties of this grade.

The fatty acid profile is shaped in particular by oleic acid, complemented by palmitic acid and linoleic acid. This composition makes olive oil a versatile edible oil for a wide range of food concepts.

Depending on grade and origin, the flavour of olive oils ranges from mildly to intensely fruity.

Manufacturing process

Cold-pressed (oils)

Cold-pressed (oils)

Natural

Obtained by pressing without external heat, then filtered – neither refined nor deodorised.

The term ‘cold-pressed’ means that the oil has been obtained by pressing without the application of external heat and then filtered. It is neither refined nor deodorised. The term gives no precise indication of the temperature actually reached.

Cold-pressed oils have a limited shelf life and – with a few exceptions – should not be heated to high temperatures.
