Over the course of the maceration process, which lasts several weeks, the oil-soluble plant constituents pass into the carrier oil. Fresh maceration differs from processes based on dried plant material. The macerate is then filtered and stabilised.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e The organic olive oil base gives the macerate a high proportion of oleic acid and makes it a versatile formulation component for cosmetic applications.
